Lone Star’s Start Mortgages quits Ireland triggering shift of servicing for 11,000 loans to Mars

Start manages over 11,000 mortgages in Ireland after being acquired by Lone Star in 2014

Start Mortgages, owned by private equity giant Lone Star, is to quit the Irish market, the Business Post has learned.

Start manages over 11,000 mortgages with an estimated value of around €2.2 billion.

Lone Star has reached an agreement to transfer the servicing rights of Start’s mortgage book to Mars Capital. Start is the day-to-day manager of the loans involved in this transaction.
