The co-creator of the hit 1990s sitcom Father Ted,Graham Linehan, has said that the show could never be written today, in light of such revelations as the Tuam mother and baby homes scandal.

Linehan, who co-wrote the show in the mid-1990s with Arthur Mathews, told The Sunday Business Post that such scandals would make the show virtually impossible to write today.
