The well-known publican and restaurateur Jay Bourke is facing a High Court action to disqualify him as a company director.

In proceedings due to begin before Mr Justice Max Barrett tomorrow, it will be alleged that Bourke deliberately withheld books of account from a Revenue-appointed liquidator.

Bourke is being called to account over the failed Dublin 2 restaurant and bar Shebeen Chic.
