Land Development Agency ‘in advanced talks’ on site for 250 homes in Galway city

The Land Development Agency (LDA) is in “advanced talks” to take on a three-acre site with potential for 250 homes from the operators of Galway port.

The LDA was established in September 2018 with a €1.25 billion capital budget to expedite the construction of 150,000 homes over 20 years on state lands. In 2023, the organisation commenced construction on several state-owned sites and started negotiations to take on lands from other state-funded bodies.
