Kevin Bakhurst has been approved as the next director general of RTÉ following an appointment process that was delayed by opposition from some board members at the national broadcaster.
Bakhurst’s name was the only one in a memo brought to cabinet this morning by Catherine Martin, the Minister for Culture, Arts and Media, this morning.
