“Alternative proteins” will be the biggest driver of food innovation over the next 50 years, the chief executive of Kerry Group has said.

Demand for protein is “growing, growing, growing”, Edmond Scanlon said last week, and meeting the consumer needs will require “significant” advancement of technology and innovation.
