Just 21% of Irish retail workers earning a living wage

Just over a fifth of Irish retail workers make a living wage, a new survey has found.

The report from Mandate, the trade union, found that nearly two-thirds of retail workers are earning less than €451 per week.

The union said the biggest challenge for workers to get “decent incomes” is the number of hours worked in the sector.
