‘It’s harder than a marriage break-up’ says staff member over sale of Brennan hotels

The news that Francis and John Brennan have put a ‘for sale’ sign up on the five-star Park Hotel in Kenmare Co Kerry, and the four-star hotel The Lansdowne in the same town, caused devastation among staff last week, according to the brothers.
The Park and The Lansdowne can be purchased individually or for a combined guide price of €20.5 million.
“The word that has come out from all the teams in the hotels is ‘family’, so that is difficult. One girl said it was harder than a marriage break-up,” John Brennan told the Business Post last week.
