Ireland among most preferred sanctuaries for Ukrainian refugees

An online survey of around 2,400 refugees revealed that this country is the sixth-most popular destination of choice for those fleeing the Russian invasion

Ireland is one of the most preferred destinations in the EU for Ukrainians seeking refuge from the invasion of their country, a new survey has shown.

Around 50,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the country since the Russian attack was launched last February.

The European Union Agency for Asylum carried out an online survey of around 2,400 Ukrainian refugees who arrived in EU countries between April and June.
