Interest rates will rise again in February and March, Central Bank chief says

The European Central Bank (ECB) will hike interest rates again at a meeting at the start of February, and again in March, according to the secretary general of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).

Gabriel Makhlouf today told the Oireachtas finance committee that while rates were likely to increase steadily in the coming months, there was a “degree of uncertainty over policy decisions beyond that”.
