Insolvencies up 48% in first half of this year, report shows
Hospitality, construction and financial services sectors saw highest rates of bankruptcy
Insolvencies in Ireland increased 48 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2023, according to figures from credit risk analyst CRIFVision-Net.
A total of 410 insolvencies were recorded in the first six months of this year, up from 277 in the same period in 2022, the data found.
Despite the health of the Irish economy, the first half of 2023 has been characterised by continued global macro uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
