Income for Dublin workers almost 20% higher than national average

People living in Dublin had the highest disposable income in the country in 2020, new statistics have found.

The figures from the Central Statistics Office show that Dublin’s disposable income per person stood at €27,686 in 2020.

Disposable income is defined as a person’s total income - wages, rental income, or investment income - minus any taxes they paid.

For many people, this means disposable income would effectively mean after tax income.
