I love EU: 90 per cent of us think Ireland has benefited from membership of bloc

New survey shows overwhelming majority of Irish think the country is better off as part of European project

Nine in ten Irish people think the country has benefited from EU membership, according to a new poll of Europeans.

Asked if the actions of the EU had an impact on their daily life, 72 per cent of Irish respondents said yes compared with a 70 per cent average across the bloc.
