House prices in Britain continue to fall – report

The average value of a home declined 0.3 per cent

The average house price in Britain fell again last month, as a further rise in mortgage rates curtailed affordability among buyers, according to Halifax.

July was the fourth straight month where there was a decline in average prices.

The average value of a home declined 0.3 per cent to £285,044, following a 0.1 per cent fall in June, the mortgage lender said in a statement Monday.
