Hostelworld appoints new chair ahead of AGM

Outgoing chair Michael Cawley will tell AGM the company expects to repay €7.5 million to AIB two years ahead of schedule, as trading remains consistent with March results

Hostelworld, the Dublin-based online travel agent, has announced a new chair ahead of today’s 2024 annual general meeting (AGM).

Michael Cawley, the former deputy chief executive of Ryanair, will stand down as chairman of the organisation on October 21.

He will announce today that the company’s trading has remained consistent with its March preliminary results, where it reported record results for 2023.
