The number of children accessing homeless charity Depaul’s services has quadrupled since 2013, a stark figure that again underlines ireland's homelessness crisis.

New figures show that the cross-border charity helped 511 children last year, compared to 106 in 2013. This was an increase of 382 per cent. There were 18 babies born to mothers in Depaul services this year, which was in line with the 2015 figure of 19.
