Henry J Lyons, one of the biggest architecture firms in Ireland, has laid off 20 staff after its pipeline of projects for next year decreased significantly.

The firm, which has offices in Dublin and Cork, has worked on commercial projects in Dublin including the plan to revamp Clerys on O'Connell Street and the Salesforce docklands office building. It has also been involved in the design of schemes that will deliver thousands of homes.

The Business Post understands that 20 staff have been let go from the firm, which represented 6.5 per cent of its employees, due to a slowdown in projects. The firm declined to comment.
