Only half of the businesses signed up to the Low Carbon Pledge have set science-based targets for reducing emissions, according to a new report.

The fifth PwC report on Business in the Community Ireland’s Low Carbon Pledge was launched this morning, detailing the efforts of 68 companies who have signed up to reducing their emissions.

The Low Carbon Pledge was set up by Business in the Community Ireland, an NGO helping businesses create sustainability plans. The pledge requires companies to measure their emissions accurately, to create targets for reductions, and report their progress on those reductions.
