Greencore posts interim loss of £6.2 million on the back of lower operating profit and increased costs

Group revenue increased 20.1 per cent to £925.8 million

Greencore, which is the largest sandwich maker in Britain and Ireland, has reported a loss before tax of £6.2 million for the half year to March 31.

The loss, which was a swing on the prior year’s interim profit of £1 million, was due to lower operating profit and increased finance costs, according to annual results from the group.
