Green tech cremation start-up saw €7.2m funds go up in smoke

An eco-friendly crematorium business which “burned through” €7.2 million in start-up funds has been wound up by the High Court in a blaze of internecine recriminations and claims of misappropriated funds.

Justice Deirdre Murphy last month appointed Declan Taite as liquidator to EcoLegacy Ltd which she said had been “brought to its knees” by the “mismanagement and intransigence” of one of its founders, Tony Ennis.
