Grafton Group sees decline in revenue from Woodie’s business as pandemic gains reverse

The Woodie’s owners said it continued to benefit from the geographic diversity of its markets with over half of revenue generated in Ireland, the Netherlands and Finland.

Grafton Group experienced a “small decline” in revenue in the Woodie’s DIY, Home and Garden business in Ireland last year, according to a trading update from the company.

This reflected weaker demand for seasonal categories, as the exceptional pandemic related gains fully reversed, and a more cautious approach by consumers to discretionary spending in the run-up to Christmas, Grafton said.
