New figures show an extremely low take up of the government’s business energy support scheme, representing just a tenth of the budget provided for last year.

Revenue has confirmed that just €129 million worth of claims have been made under the Temporary Energy Support Scheme (TBESS), which was given a budget of €1.3 billion by the government last year to assist businesses with their energy bills.
