Google Ireland not ruling out further staff cuts amid global downsizing efforts

Google Dublin VP said that any further lay-offs would be minimal, and that the tech giant remained confident in its Irish operation

David Sneddon, the Dublin-based Google VP, has not ruled out further job cuts at the US multinational tech firm’s Irish operation, but said he expected any further redundancies will be “minimal”.

Speaking to the Business Post, Sneddon said he “can’t give forward guidance” on future job cuts, adding that he remained confident in Dublin’s potential to contribute to the wider Google strategy.
