Gender pay gap down to 9.6 per cent in 2022, CSO survey shows

Highest discrepancy is in the 50-59 age group, at 16.7 per cent

Ireland’s gender pay gap was 9.6 per cent in 2022, new data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) has shown.

An analysis by the CSO as part of its Structure of Earnings Survey 2022 has found that men recorded mean hourly earnings of €27.73 last year, while women registered a rate of €25.06.
