RPS, a Galway based consulting engineering and project management business, secured over €30 million worth of new engineering design contracts.

The business has 765 staff and was recently acquired earlier this year by Tetra Tech, a US multinational with 27,000 employees worldwide.

The new projects include contracts for Metrolink, the Eastern Garavogue Bridge in Slgo, and the A66 Trans-Pennine roads project in England.

The firm will provide advanced work to the Metrolink - which has repeatedly made headlines in recent months due to massive delays.
