Future of gay rights charity in doubt over cash irregularities

The future of the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network (Glen), a high-profile advocacy group, is shrouded in doubt this weekend as the charity faces an investigation into serious financial irregularities.

The group’s recently-installed chief executive, Áine Duggan, reported a number of issues to the Charities Regulator after carrying out a due diligence process upon her appointment last October.
