Finance minister seeks Irish director for European investment bank

A three-year role at the London-based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is being advertised

The Department of Finance seeking a new Irish director for the London-based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The bank, which has grown considerably since it was founded in 1991, is currently made up of 66 shareholders across five continents with the Irish role forming one of 23 director posts.

A successful candidate to the paid role would need a "high competence in economic and financial matters", Michael McGrath, the minister for finance, has said.
