David McRedmond to lead new taskforce to ‘restore’ Dublin city
An Post chief will chair the group which has been tasked with spearheading the rejuvenation of the city centre
Dublin city requires decisive and focused action to bring it back up to standard, David McRedmond has said as he takes on his new role heading up the new Dublin City Taskforce.
The Dublin City Taskforce, established by Taoiseach Simon Harris, has been tasked with drawing up a list of recommendations by July that will make Dublin a more “thriving, attractive and safe city”. Its formation comes following a number of public order and security incidents over recent years that have sparked a debate about whether the capital is safe.
