Final decision on North-South interconnector expected within months

A final decision on the beleaguered North-South electricity interconnector is expected within the next few months, having last week reached the final planning hurdle in the North.

The project has been beset by legal challenges and has been in planning since 2013. The interconnector has been completely cleared in the south.
