Financial statements reveal extent of association’s dependence on government funding
The FAI’s sponsorship revenue dropped by €1 million in 2022, new accounts show, as the association’s hunt for a jersey sponsor for the men’s national team continues to show up as a hole in its finances.
The association’s sponsorship income has now dropped for the fourth year in a row, having been €8 million in 2018, €7.6 million in 2019, €5.8 million in 2020, and €5.6 million in 2021.
