Executives urged to learn how to fight cyber threats as 40% of companies attacked

Almost three-quarters of business leaders say they are very concerned about online threats

Cyber attacks in the last three years cost Irish businesses €2.3 billion

Two-fifths of organisations in Ireland have been subject to a cyber attack, new research from the Institute of Directors has shown.

The finding was included in the organisation’s latest director sentiment monitor, which covered the final quarter of 2022.

The survey of top executives across Irish businesses and organisations showed that 70 per cent of them said that they are “extremely or very concerned” about cyber security threats to their business.
