Euro 2028: Ireland and UK bid gets official approval

The unopposed bid was approved in Switzerland after Turkey removed it self from the process last week

Ireland will officially be a co-host of UEFA Euro 2028 and its unopposed joint bid with the English, Northern Irish, Scottish, and Welsh football associations was formally ratified by UEFA in Nyon, Switzerland, this morning.

With Turkey formally removing itself as a candidate for the bid prior to the vote, today’s ceremony was effectively a rubber stamping process.
