Eir profits jump to €315m in Q3 driven by investment

Telco’s full year earnings dropped by 3 per cent due to the higher cost of sales from commercial investment

Eir’s operating profits rose by €9 million to €315 million in the third quarter, driven by mobile growth within its consumer business, while its operating costs decreased by 4 per cent.

The telecommunications giant reported full year earnings (Ebitda) of €147 million in the three months to October, down 3 per cent due to higher cost of sales from increased commercial investment and revenue mix.
