Over 99 per cent of voting shareholders agreed to plans for low-cost airline’s Airbus purchasing plan

British low-cost airline group, EasyJet, is set to overhaul its fleet after shareholders signed off the purchase of 157 new aircrafts for $20 billion (€15.7 billion).

At an annual general meeting held in Luton Airport on Tuesday almost 100 per cent of voting shareholders, who held 46 per cent of the issued shares, voted in favour of the proposal to purchase 56 A320neo and 101 A321neo aircrafts and the rights for a further 100 from ...
