Dublin Port is to become a turnaround hub for the world’s largest cruise liners, with a €600 million planned redevelopment expected to draw an extra 600,000 tourists into the city each year.

The Dublin Port Company has begun the process of deepening port berths to accommodate bigger cruise ships and will later tender for development partners to build a cruise-liner terminal and other infrastructure, possibly including hotels on port lands.
