In a significant speech to the Irish Taxation Institute in recent days, Donohoe warned that the price of tax certainty was 'legitimacy', and that he could only offer 'stability to a system he could stand over'

He was warmly welcomed as the guest of honour at an annual dinner of tax advisers. But Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe issued a stark message to those in attendance about the potential consequences of their actions on Ireland’s ability to retain its competitive tax advantage.
