Delays to the implementation of new nightlife licensing laws will result in significant taxi shortages in the run-up to Christmas, “putting people at risk of being unable to get home at the end of the night”, Free Now has warned.

The multinational taxi group has been lobbying heavily in recent weeks over hold-ups to the government’s plan to allow pubs and nightclubs to stay open later.
