Decathlon reports €7.5bn in sales through Irish unit

French sports retail giant steadily growing its presence in Ireland and is eyeing up new stores around country

Decathlon, the French sports retailer, reported nearly €7.5 billion in sales through its Irish operation last year, paying €2.6 million in corporate tax.

Known as the “Ikea of sports retailing”, Decathlon incorporated in Ireland in 2016, with financial filings showing its Irish operation has served as the supply centre for its European retail activities since 2018.
