He’s spent the last six years holed up in Boston but now it appears the ex-Anglo chief’s exile may be near an end

It was a long time coming. Handcuffed and shackled, David Drumm – the former boss of the collapsed Anglo Irish Bank – was brought before a Boston court last week for an extradition hearing.

His lawyers have promised to put up a fight. They say the Irish authorities are seeking his surrender for “a political purpose”.
