Dalata to add 800 hotel rooms to expanding portfolio in 2024 as firm hails record year

Clayton and Maldron Hotel operator has forecast revenues will top €600 million this year

Dalata, the Irish headquartered hotel group, expects to record adjusted earnings of over €220 million in 2023, as the firm benefits from expansion efforts made this year.

In a trading update on Wednesday, the firm, whose brands include the Clayton and Maldron Hotels, said that it “continues to deliver an exceptional performance through strong trading and sustained growth”, as it looks forward to adding a further 834 rooms to its portfolio in 2024.

Shares in Dalata are up 25 per cent in the last year to value the listed company at close to €1 billion, with the firm pledging to return almost €9 million to shareholders after it posted record profits for the first six months of this year.
