Council’s research on Airbnb lettings runs into brick wall

Dublin City Council’s efforts to analyse the impact of Airbnb in the capital have stalled after the council ran into “major challenges” in measuring the impact of short-term letting businesses on the Irish rental market.

The local authority commissioned a research project into the impact of such businesses on the housing market last year.

However, it has now told The Sunday Business Post that the results had only served to further complicate matters.
