Cork’s largest stadium to be renamed ‘SuperValu Pairc Úi Chaoimh’ after backlash

The GAA has performed a U-turn on its initial plan to drop Padraig O Caoimh’s name from the historic stadium

Cork’s largest stadium is set to be renamed ‘SuperValu Pairc Úi Chaoimh’ after a deal was reached to retain the historic venue’s name, according to reports.

The supermarket chain will sponsor the stadium as part of a 10-year partnership, with the matter due be finalised at a special meeting of delegates of Cork’s county board on Thursday night.
