CitySwift plans to expand its successful New York City pilot transport scheme

Existing backers, including the family of Ryanair founder Tony Ryan, provide €5 million in further funds for Galway-headquartered transport tech company

CitySwift, the Irish company that provides insights to transport operators, is in talks to expand the pilot scheme it has been running with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York.

The news comes as the Galway-headquartered travel tech firm has raised a further €5 million in funding from existing backers that include the family of Tony Ryan, the Ryanair founder; Mike McGearty, the former CarTrawler chief executive; and Act Venture Capital.
