Michael McMahon, the acting chair of the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council (Ifac), has said he is open to sorting out disagreements over the funding of his role with government.

Yesterday McMahon warned that he will stand down over a proposal to reduce pay for his role by 50 per cent.
