Members of two Irish-based accountancy bodies will be asked to vote on a proposal to merge their organisations next month.

A proposal has been put forward to members of CPA Ireland and Chartered Accountants Ireland that would establish a single institute under the latter’s brand.

More than 37,000 members of the two bodies are now going to be asked to vote on Wednesday, February 21, on the proposal to amalgamate the institutions.
