Central Bank wants top bankers held to account over trackers
Deputy governor says all main Irish banks will face action from regulator
The Central Bank’s deputy governor has indicated that the regulator will keep up the pressure on banks over the tracker mortgage scandal.
The regulator has faced criticism from politicians for its handling of the issue, especially for the fact that no individual bankers have been held responsible so far.
Today, Ed Sibley said he expected bank board members and executives to be held to account for their part in the tracker mortgage scandal.
