Dualta Ó Broin can lobby his former department in his new role at the US social media giant

Facebook’s new chief lobbyist in Ireland did not require a cooling-off period before beginning his role despite working on policy affecting the internet giant as an official in the Department of Communications.

Dualta Ó Broin was responsible for a number of areas directly related to his new employer, including a government forum about online child safety on which he could now sit on as Facebook’s representative.
