BWG Foods invests €400,000 in electric HGV

The wholesale and retail group has made the investment in a 20 tonne electric truck as part of its transition to low carbon distribution

BWG Foods has invested €400,000 in a Volvo electric truck as part of its efforts to more towards a lower form of carbon distribution.

According to the wholesaler and retailer, which owns Spar, Londis, Mace, and XL brands, the 20 tonne truck is the first such electric heavy goods vehicle (HGV) in operation in Ireland.
