Bord Bia: Soaring inflation hits Irish food and drink exports in 2023

The value of Irish food and drink exports fell by 4 per cent to almost €16.3 billion last year as trade was hit by inflation and cost of living pressures, new figures show.

Declines in the value of goods sold overseas were recorded in the dairy, drink and seafood categories amid what Bord Bia described as “challenging market conditions”.
