Barclays analysis shows restrictions on Irish data centres ‘forcing sector to decarbonise’

New investment research by the British bank says restrictions to continue, but little risk of developers moving to other countries

Barclays said that despite restrictions the risk that data centres would move elsewhere from Ireland was “limited”.

Restrictions on data centres in Ireland have forced the sector to decarbonise at “an accelerated pace”, according to a new report by Barclays.
